Auca announces high profile team

Auca has announced a high-profile senior management team to run its ground-breaking new vehicle aggregation platform for motor trade used car buyers which goes live in July.
Lisa Grimsley, Michael Buxton and Jamie Newman have more than seven decades of remarketing experience between them, which will be used to launch and build Auca’s unique wholesale used car buying platform. The Auca platform brings together the vehicle search and buying process for professional used car buyers in one place for the very first time.
Auca promises to offer more than 10,000 used cars, LCVs, trucks, motorcycles and classic cars from multiple auctions and wholesale platforms to bid on andbuy on the site from launch.
Lisa Grimsley, Auca’s chief executive officer, has been leading the design and build of the technology platform to ensure it meets the needs of both buyers and vendors. Lisa has over 30 years of remarketing experience, having first spent 15 years with Manheim and then stints in senior management roles at both Aston Barclay and BCA Marketplace.
Michael Buxton is joining the Auca board with responsibility for strategic and financial planning. Michael has over 30 years’ experience working within the automotive sector with 25 years at Cox Automotive as CFO and CEO of their UK operations and latterly president of their international businesses.
Meanwhile Jamie Newman has joined Auca as its client services director. He will be responsible for managing relationships with Auca’s buyer and seller customer base and growing its range of partner suppliers. Jamie joins from Aston Barclay where he spent over 15 years in a variety of roles working at
its Prees Heath and Donington Park sites as both general manager and auctioneer.
“The motor trade has always been time poor when it comes to sourcing wholesale stock from an ever-growing number of physical and online providers,” explained Lisa Grimsley.
“Based on these known challenges we have pulled all the stock and key tasks into one place which will make a dealer’s life much easier, and after 12 months of development the Auca platform is close to launch. We have had some incredibly positive feedback during our pilot launch phase from professional used car buyers."
“Auca spells good news for both buyers and sellers, and we are pleased to announce an experienced team that are on board to make it a big success,” she added.
Vendors and buyers are invited for an early demonstration of the functionality of the new Auca platform at www.auca.com.
